I'm looking for a candy bar wrapping machine ideally under $10,000. I have the chocolate bars already in the foil wrapping and all the machine has to do is wrap the outside. I'm finding a lot of industrial wrapping machines that do many types of wrapping jobs and that increases the price. I need a small machine with a focus on candy bars that isn't too expensive. Thanks. | |

Dear jbosarge-ga; Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting question. After researching the industry I discovered that some of the major brands (or models) of Chocolate Wrapping Equipment were: Sapal, SIG CK, GD, and Rasch If you use each of these with the search terms ?bar wrapper? you will find a great number of places to research. I tried to find companies that were offering equipment for sale at a reduced price where possible in order to get within your budget. While I do not know how much the equipment sells for (none of them seem to say for sure) I do know that most of the items are selling for less than retail. For example: CROSIO & ASSOCIATES appears to have a number of machines that seem to do what you are looking for. This is one of those sites that don?t publish their price list so undoubtedly they would need to be contacted and perhaps negotiated with for their products. Some of them are used and there may very well be a bargain buy in there for you somewhere: CROSIO & ASSOCIATES http://www.crosioassociates.com/amp_stocklist.html http://www.crosioassociates.com/amp_stocklist.html#chocolatebar http://www.crosioassociates.com/amp_stocklist.html#chocolate ?.. You can also buy one of several second-hand machines at a special price offered by STANDARD MACHINERY MARKETING COMPANY LTD.: SIG CK. Chocolate bar wrapper. Paper fed from stack. For bars up to 75 grs. SIG CK-R. Chocolate bar wrapper. Paper fed from stack. For bars up to 75 grs. Up to 230 pieces/mn. SAPAL TD. Two stage chocolate bar wrapper. Heat seal. Good condition. Fully reconditioned. SIG DSH. Two stage chocolate bar wrapper. Good condition. SAPAL BB. One stage wrapping machine. Excellent condition. STANDARD MACHINERY MARKETING COMPANY LTD http://www.standardmachinery.com/chocolate.php ?. As luck would have it, NESTLE CORDER WAREHOUSE is in the process of auctioning some of their equipment. Among the items listed are about 10 SIG CK chocolate bar wrappers: NESTLE CORDER WAREHOUSE http://www.equipnetdirect.com/marketplace/auction/auctionim_list_view.asp?cr=1&auctionid=108&custid=17 ?.. By following the same type of searches that I did you may be able to enhance the research I have provided even further. I hope you find that my research exceeds your expectations. I read that some candy bar companies utilize pharmaceutical wrappers to do the work. ROSE FORGROVE is one company in particular that saw mentioned. The links (forgrove) seem to be for sealing type packaging. The candy bars I have are already sealed in a foil wrapper -- I need to add the decorative wrapper only. Are you aware if any of the items you listed will do the decorative wrapping? Also, I assume there were no Web-sites for the other listings? Thanks - Jason |

Take a look at the wrapping on this page: http://www.mywrapper.com/eventpages/july4.asp - the bars are foil wrapped and then the rest is done by hand - I'm trying to automate that part. I'm also willing to raise the research fee if needed. Just let me know. |
