When I go windowsupdate, I get an error message stating that it can't check for updates because the system time and date or language settings are incorrect. I've quadruple checked the month, day, year, time zone, and I only have english (united states) in my languages. What else could it be? |

This situation can occur when some windows XP and Windows 2000 DLL files get mixed up (eg if you installed XP over Windows 2000 or Installed a patch that was made for 2000 on an XP system) The Quick fix for it is hit the refresh button on your browser after the time error , it will do a rescan and then display the updates available |

After a reboot of the machine, WindowsUpdate worked. Thanks all! |
