I heard this song back in the 80's and it's a bit obscure. I would classify the artist into the new wave, alternative category, but the song is a slow love song. The singer is female. I'd like to know who the artist is, get lyrics to the song, get a mp3 or information on where to buy the song. Lyrics that I can remember are: "Promise me that you'll write me every day, from your school, to my home near by the bay. If I could, I would walk a thousand miles," ....??? The chorus has the following (words I know for sure are lower case, CAPITALIZED WORDS ARE WORDS I'M NOT SURE ABOUT OR SOUND LIKE THIS): GIVE ME KAZUKI??? GIVE ME KAZUKI???, sweet as a summer romance GIVE ME KAZUKI??? GIVE ME KAZUKI???, started with a casual glance | |

This is a male singer... but could it be "Sea of Love" by the Honeydrippers? |
Subject:
pamelak, definitely not sea of love or the honeydrippers. not male either.

i have heard this song and it was back in the '80's. I belive it is either Nina Hagen or Souixse And The Banshees. |

eightknot-ga, thanks for the leads, but so far no success. i'm not familiar with nina hagen, but do know souxsie & the banshees and don't think it's them. the singer or band is more obscure, maybe more known in europe, in line with new wave bands like gazebo, big boy blue, modern talking? |
