Question ID: 384301
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the following newspaper
article either on-line or on microfilm. I have tired the Library of
Congress, the DC MLK library Washingtonian Room, and the Georgetown
Regional Peabody library Room. They all said they did not have it.

The Georgetown News. May 8, 1933.

Thank you for your help.

Stephenh --

It doesn't show in the Special Collection at Georgetown University,
but this page has contacts for the librarians. I'd actually be
surprised if they DIDN'T have a copies of the Georgetown News from
earlier days. You seem to be doing a great job chasing this story
down, so I won't get in the middle:

Thank you for the advice about going to the special Collection at
Georgetown University, to get a copy of the paper I am looking for. I
called them and they said they never heard of it. They suggested that
I called the historical society which I did about 2 weeks ago, but
they didn't have a copy of it either.
As I stated in my orginal question, neither the MLK, DC Peabody Room
or the library of Congress does not have this paper for 1933 in there
collection. Can anyone do some more searching for me to try to find
this paper and article. I know that it must be somewhere in this city.

Thank you

There were several publications called "Georgetown News". Do you know
which one it is?

Georgetown, Ill.
Georgetown, Ky.
Georgetown (Washington, D.C.)

Apparently, Vol. 1, no. 1 of "Georgetown News" (Georgetown, Mass.) was
first published May 12, 1955:

However, as I mentioned earlier, there were several publications
called "Georgetown News".
