Does Apple accept returns on G5 towers? Our IT department purchased one that turned out to be defective and claim that Apple does not accet reutrns. Now they want to replace it with a non-apple computer (a PC), for our graphics department, out of fear. Also, if you can answer it, is Adobe making Photoshop and Illstrator for PC first, then for Apple? I heard that as well. Thanks, Tony Asevedo Internet Manager Old World Industries, Inc. |

I think your IT department is telling you a tall tale by claiming that Apple will not accept a return on a piece of defective equipment. Any company with such a policy wouldn't have stayed in business as long as Apple has. I used to work for an all-Mac advertising agency which returned Macintosh hardware to Apple several times a month. |

Apple's return policy allows returns within 14 calendar days. http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/salespolicies.html#Return%20Policy binding that it is not "Product that is custom configured to your specifications." If it was custom configured, then RMA would be unlikely and servicing is more feasible. Otherwise, find an Apple Store or call 1-800-APL-CARE for service. |
