A:
Statistically, how long do people on summer vacation travel each day
when they are making their trip in a motor vehicle? By "how long" I
mean total driving time in hours, or distance covered in kilometers.
I am particularly interested in families and individuals travelling in
the maritime provinces of Canada, and even more specifically the
region of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
Cape Breton is a popular vacation spot during the summer because of
its many scenic destinations, such as the driveable Cabot Trail or the
many hiking, canoeing, and mountain biking trails.

Also helpful would be any information on whether backtracking is
common (to cover many interesting places in one region) or if the
standard practise is to drive through an area, and string destinations
together in a line that covers a longer distance.
Please do not hesitate to request question clarification if this is
not clear. Thank you. |
