Question ID: 384419
We are a language translation service. One of our customers sent us a
French document for translation that was prepared in MS Power Point,
which we don't have and don't want to purchase for just one job (at
ca. $175.00!!). Is there some free or inexpensive download that will
let us work with this particular file so we can essentially keep the
Power Point format that its in now? We are running on MS Windows XP
Professional and have MS Word 2003 and also Adobe Acrobat 6.0
Professional, which is how we were able to view the job, but we would
like to complete the translation in the same Power Point format of the
original -- by essentially highlighting and replacing the French words
and phrases with the equivalent English. HELP!

Hello frank.

Have you tried opening up the ppt files in your browser?

My version of Internet Explorer 6.0 can open many (not all) powerpoint
files, and by right clicking on the file, it brings up an edit box
which will allow you to change the text to your heart's content.

Let me know if this works in your browser.

Bon chance!
