i am using 3com's officeconnect wireless 11b cable/dsl gateway.
How can I open ports for emule?
I already open them in Norton Internet Security.

hi,
   log into your routers admin site. http://192.168.1.1 by default.
Open the firewall settings page. Then click special applications.

Enter the trigger port as the default port that emule uses and enter
the port range as the range you opened in your norton internet
security package. Make sure you check the tcp option and enabled check
box. Then click apply at the bottom of the page.

Done.
