I added this as a comment because I can't try it out as I do not have a T68. In general, I am not sure if you already have Bluetooth capability on your laptop as it is not clear from your question if you do. If you don't, you would still need to get a Bluetooth PCMCIA card or USB device which works with Win2k. You can get Bluetooth devices in any general computer shop. Otherwise you can use the IR port on the T68. To synchronize your data you need XTNDConnect, which I actually use for synchronizing the Siemens S45i which I currently have here. It works like a charm, just follow the setup instruction, which shouldn't be too much different for the T68 version. XTNDConnect is a third party application that is used by a lot of companies for synchronization. You can get the general instructions and download link here: http://wap.sonyericssonmobile.com/software.asp?product=T68&view=XTNDConnect Here is another page, generally about synchronization and using your phone with your laptop: http://wap.sonyericssonmobile.com/software.asp?product=T68&view=Synchronisation I would also watch out for the release of the Sony Ericsson T68i in the US (I presume you are in the US), because once it is out, you will be able to get a software update for your T68 which will give it the same capabilities as the T68i (e.g. WAP 2.0 instead of an older version.) Search Term Used: Synchronizing Outlook T68 I hope this helped a little bit. If you have further problems, just ask. Maybe I, or somebody else, can help. Please include as much information as possible. bizkiffer |

Run XNTD (the free s/w) from T68 to PC, and then Microsoft Activesync from PC to Laptop. This way you can choose what you sync (e.g. I just sync calendar and contacts, but not tasks). You can usually choose which device is authoritative when edits clash. |

Just as a note... you need to check your bluetooth card - i bought a mitsumi usb dongle for my laptop and that didn't have the necessary functionality to use the sync with outlook software with... only file transfer. I found loads of help with this problem here: http://www.esato.com/ From what i read, it's not settled down wnough yet to be simple - whatever you do there'll be a fair bit a trial and error involved Good luck Alex |
