Question ID: 384609
Is there some software (better, a photoshop plugin) which allows one
to view graphics AFTER screen rulings and angles have been applied.
Since this is not itself possible, the software would I guesss
simulate the effect

Do you have Adobe Acrobat (the full version with Distiller)?

I'm not sure if this will handle it accurately, but if you try
printing your Photoshop file to Acrobat (using Photoshop's printer
options to set screens, etc. in advance) and then view it in Acrobat,
it may provide what you're looking for.

Good luck.

That's very interesting info by itself, and may be handy at some point
but right now I meant whether there was any graphics manupulating
software --actually relatively inexpensive software -- (so that one
could play around with the screens etc) and I assume you can't do that
with acrobat

You're right about that. The best I know of built-in with Photoshop
is the Filter: Pixellate: Color Halftone feature I mentioned in your
other question. But you would need a rather high-resolution image to
work with to avoid losing clarity ultimately. Sorry it's not more of
a help.

Forgive me if I've misunderstood, but I absolutely swear by SnagIt
from www.TechSmith.com. You can take a screen capture to your
clipboard and, before you paste it into a graphics program (I don't
use adobe stuff, but it works well with MS stuff and with CorelDraw),
you can crop, erase, put arrows...

They even have a free trial. And it's only about $40 to buy.

yeah SnagIt from www.TechSmith.com is good, but better is the Camtasia Studio2.
