Hello,

I have found 2 pay sites that with a membership, have an address
available for him. Would that be an acceptable answer for you?

I already subscribe to IMDB-Pro and one other site. But they both only
have his agency listed and the agencies refuse to accept unsolicited
mail. So that's why I'm asking the question. Any further help would be
much appreciated.

My 5-year-old copy of a film director's guide lists his business address as
Marmont Productions in LA. 310 659-0768. Whether that's still valid,
I don't know.

If one subscribes to IMDB-Pro (www.imdb.com), it is possible to
receive current contact information for various personalities in the
movie/TV business.

rsbj55 and politicalguru --

I don't subscribe to imdb.pro, but I do subscribe to Baseline-Filmtracker, (which
a lot of people think imdb pro is essentially a rip off of.)

Baseline lists Rafelson's agent AND Marmont Productions. I also
looked at my Film Directors book, which lists Marmont as well. And
if you look up Rafelson's credits,
many of them have Marmont as one of the production companies. It's
possible that he no longer keeps a production company, though.
....5 minutes later. . . .OK, out of curiosity, I just dialed the
number I gave you in the previous message. . ."disconnected or out of
service" says the recording.
Well. . . .back to square one.
Are you sending him a script? I was under the impression that if you
sign a "waiver" form in advance, then agencies WILL accept
unsoicited material. Am I mistaken?

Thanks, politicalguru... I'm here in Thailand so thanks for trying
that number. I lost touch with Bob about 15 years ago, and now I can't
seem to find out. He must be about 80+ years old now. The problem with
the agencies is they won't even open or read any unsolicited mail, so
it's pretty hard to sign a waiver. They are really hard ball. He'll
turn up some where soon.

Y/s,
Rick

I have access to a service that usually provides more current
information for entertainment professionals. This is what they had to
offer for Bob Rafelson:

P.O. Box 10967
Aspen, CO 81612

Phone: (970) 925-6094
Email: CurlyBGab@aol.com (I checked this address and it is a valid account on AOL)

Good luck! Let me know if you reach him.

Thanks Jason.

I just now sent email to the address you gave. I'll let you know if he
responds. I haven't seen him since 1986, when we took a trip to the
Burma border together (I live in Bangkok). Then he bombed with
"Mountains of the Moon" and we lost touch... NOW, I've got something
he might love; a Greatest Lost Band of the 1960s movie ... true story.
