I am looking for the cheapest way to make international phone calls
from a land line in Perth, Western Australia to destinations in the
USA and Europe.  Specific destinations include San Fransisco, Los
Angeles, New York, London and Marseille.

Hi, I've just moved to Perth from the UK myself and have been
searching for the same thing!  After doing some searches on the net
I've come across http://www.callsave.com.au/ which looks pretty good -

why dont you buy a calling card, it costs about 1c per minute to the
US and UK try calling  1300 858503 for cfurther info remember to ask
for no connection fee rates and charge by second not minute!
