I have a hotmail account, and I can't seem to access their customer
support for problems I am having with my e-mail. The closes thing I
can find is their FAQ, which does not answer my questions. If anyone
has a hotmail account or is familiar with hotmail, do they have a
1-800 number to call for "personal" assistance, or do they have an
e-mail for customer support?

Log into your hotmail account, and click on "help" in the top right. 
Once the help screen loads, select the very bottom option: "View other
Help suggestions or contact us".  That will bring you to a page with a
drop-down menu entitled "categories".  Select "Other - Contact MSN
Hotmail", the very last option, from the drop down menu.  This will
open a new window where you can enter a support request, and provide
information about your problem.
