Hi cfew, Living in the Middle East, the name Eskandar is quite popular. Since Eskandar the designer is Iranian, I am sure it would be pronounced as below: "Ess-kan-dar" (with the emphasis on the 2nd syllable.) In the Arab world, it is sometimes pronounced "Skan-dar", emphasizing the 1st syllable. I hope that helps. Best regards, Rainbow |

"Eskandar" is Alexander the Great's name in Persian. I assume that pronounciation is approximately "as-kun-dar" (with the "ar" part at the end sounding like the English "are"). Alas, I can't prove it, so I'll leave answering this to my colleagues. Scriptor |
