Where can I get e-mail address lists of students?

Request for Question Clarification by mvguy-ga on 11 Jul 2002 11:51 PDT
Students in which geographic area? All students, or just students
that fit a particular demographic? What is the intended use of the
list? (Lists available for educational purposes, for example, might
not be available for commercial use.)

I would like the students going to North American
Universities/Colleges. The purpose of the e-mail address lists is to
e-mail the students to inform them of a $25,000 award I sponsor.

That is called spam. Don't do it. Such a list is probably not attainable anyway.

I go to a North American University, and so I am quite familiar with
these procedures. Universities are often adamant about not spamming
through campus e-mail accounts, and rightly so. However, if the award
you are giving is legitimate (not saying it isn't), then usually you
can forward the information to the campus Financial Aid department or
Student Activites department, and they will be more than happy to send
the e-mail out for you.
