I'd like to find a comparison of death rates worldwide broken up by
country and by death mechanism. By death mechanism I mean homicide,
disease, suicide, etc. The important part is that the information
should be recent and complete (not just first world countries).
Looking around I have found that there is lots of information
regarding homicide rates and gun control. This is not what I am
interested in. I have also found that the information varies from
site to site, so I am not looking for the first answer that comes out
of a search engine, but something that has been cross-checked for
consistency. A comparison over time would also be interesting, but
only if it is a long term one. For example a comparison between death
rates in native American populations compared to death rates in
America today.

Two comments:

1) Most countries probably do not have the capability to compile this information.
2) For $20, you should expect information on at most a handful of
countries. Set a number and somebody will be more likely to try and
answer this, if in fact it is possible. (And the information may not
be publically available)

I guess I wasn't clear what I meant by complete. I did have a look on
the net and found a lot of data on european countries, usa, etc. The
problem with this is that they add a country like South Africa to the
list and it is way above those countries. This isn't a fair
comparison because the socio-economic conditions are so different. I
don't want every country in the world but I'd like a fair selection,
that makes the results unbiased. It is true that the information may
not exist. That is the reason I have asked here. I have already
tried searching around and I found inconsistent information. What I'm
asking for is someone to track down a reliable source and interpret
it. It does not even have to be actual statistics. An good estimate
from a reliable source would also be ok.
