I am trying to convince a campsite owner to invest hiring someone to
make a professional website and need some numbers to back me up.
I am interested in things like
- Internet amount and growth
- ECommerce amount and growth
- online Travel bookings and research amount and growth
- Why you should have a website professionally made

Any statistics that would bolster my case would be are great and I
will tip for other pertinent statistics I haven't though of.

Really it's a matter of marketing. Now by campsite do you mean the
kind where people park their RV's or the kind where kids stay for the
summer? For the latter I would say you should have a website, it's
good marketing since it's so easy to compare different ones on the
internet and get pictures etc. But for the former you really don't
need a website unless you are running a chain of campsites since most
people are going to decide which campsite to go to based on road signs
and things of that nature.

We do both.  I feel that with the growing number of people planning
their vacation online a website would be vital for both types of
campsite.  How do you find a campsite?  Personally the first thing i
do is look online.

Well, if you don't know the answers to these questions, why are you
trying to convince this person to invest in hiring someone to build a
website on this subject?

I have seen the statistics for everything i listed, but I don't
remember the exact numbers nor the sources.  I imagine it wouldn't be
hard to find these numbers and sources if you had access to journal
database.
