I'm single and one year from now, I'm looking to move from Boston to a
city that has a decent number of single women, as a percentage of that
city's/area's
population. I would like to be pointed to websites that have recent
statistics that help me find out how many single women there are,
preferrably broken down by age, ethnicity, education level, and
political/ideological leanings. Websites that cite credible sources
and statistics are more important than random articles in magazines
that just comment on a particular city. If statistics like this aren't
collected, I'll take statistics that talk independently about each of
the above categories (that is, instead of saying that 50% of single
women have bachelor's degrees, it can be two statistics: one stating
that X percent of the population is single, and another separate
statistic that Y percent of the population has bachelor's degrees).
One more thing, I'm Chinese-American, and local attitudes towards
inter-racial dating are important to me because it helps to narrow or
broaden my potential "mate pool."

I know of a website which has this sort of information for all of the
cities in the US. The time-consuming part of it, is that you would
have to go through each city to make sure it fits all the criteria you
require.

Some data this website contains:

Population
Population of males 
Percentage of males
Population of females 
Percentage of females
Median resident age

Percentage of Races-
*White Non-Hispanic 
*Black 
*Hispanic 
*Other race 
*Two or more races 
*American Indian 

Percetage of different Ancestries

Percentage of degree of education for population 25 years and over:

*High school or higher
*Bachelor's degree or higher
*Graduate or professional degree
*Unemployed



If you specified the criteria, I could go through it and compile a
list of cities which meet your specific requirements.

For example which states are you most interested in?
How big or small of a city/town are you willing to live in?

Any other criteria you can think of would help. Remember there are
over 25,000 cities and towns to go through.

To answer the request for clarifcation, cities have to be as large as
Louisville, Kentucky, or Raleigh, North Carolina. It's also important
to know how many of the women are single. Knowing that there are a lot
23-34 year olds in an area, for example, is not bad, but know how many
of them are single is much, much better. I'm 29, so go ahead and throw
out cities that have populations that are too old (you can decide how
old is 'too old'). Also, toss out cities that aren't as highly
educated.

So, in summary, higher education, the right age range, with many of
them being single, and lots of them, are my filtering criteria. You
can choose your way weighting each factor. Just give me a top 25 list
or something. No need to sift through 25,000 cities, especially if it
turns out that there's over a thousand that are as large as the cities
I've listed above. Hope this helps.

Oh, and if you can find any website links discussing attitudes towards
interracial dating, broken down by geography, that's good too.

I've heard that Manhattan has way more single women than men.

It has to Miami Florida....this place is crawling with single girls,
plus Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach are close and they have lots
of single girls too. Hope you like Blondes with fake
boobies....because that is 90% of the girls here. I got the fake
boobies...but my Brunette hair really stands out more than my breasts
do in a crowded club.
p.s. The weather is sure better than Boston, so at least that will be good for you.
