Hello I am interested in utilizing a technology called Dolby Headphone which duplicates dolby surround sound 5.1 channel home theater system. http://dolby.com/Consumer/Technologies/DolbyHeadphone/Story_DolbyHeadphone.html My question is I have several digital audio files (mp3, etc..) of nature sounds and animal sounds. I want to edit those sounds so that they do not play in stereo sound as they normally do but in dolby surround sound. I want to play the sounds so that I can make a sound appear as if it is orginating from in front of a person or in back of a person or to the right or left quadrants. This I know is normally can be done with a 5.1 dolby digital DVD movie. I am looking for a software package that will essentially let me disignate where the sound will appear to come from when a user is listening to the sound using a 5.1 Dolby digital sound system. I am assuming that once I can convert a sound to play on a dolby digital 5.1 surround sound system and appear to orginate from different quadrants that using the Dolby Headphone technology will not be a problem. I found this software app ( www.cineplayer.com ) and it plays audio and movies back using dolby headphone technology. Can you help me identify an inexpensive software that will allow me to do this? |
