I'm trying to find the source for the following quote by Einstein. I don't have the quote exactly, but I'm close: "We won't solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them." |

I believe the quote you are looking for is: "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." The source of this quote, is, well, Einstein. Sorry to be a smart-alec. You can find this, and many other quotes at: http://www.staticfiends.com/einstein/Gallery.htm SEARCH STRATEGY: Einstein "solve problems" in google. |

It appears you're looking for the original text in which Einstein wrote the sentence you're seeking. However, if he spoke it aloud to someone, as would seem logical given the nature of the comment, it would not appear in a textual source. In this case, the "source" would be the person to whom the quote was originally spoken, assuming it was spoken by Einstein only once. Otherwise, anyone who heard the quote from Einstein could be considered an "original source" as he/she would have heard it from the Physicist's mouth. If you are looking for a written text you can use to cite the quote, you might consider using Amazon's "search within a book" feature, which unfortunately does not support direct URL linking of the search string, like Google. Here are ISBNs of books retrieved through Amazon that contain the quote: 0471273902 0333990137 1567202926 |
