Hi there,

This information is from the official Georgia DMV website:

"Applicants who lose their Georgia license through theft or
misplacement and unlicensed applicants must present proper
identification containing the same name under which you are licensed.

You must go to a driver's license testing center to obtain a
replacement license if you've lost your license or had it stolen. The
Kroger facilities only issue regular driver's license renewals."

You may want to check this last week's AJC for info on several of the
DMV locations that just opened and promise to get most issues handled
within 20-30 minutes or it's free. During this trial run, only the
new DMVs in Cobb County and Dekalb County are advertising this policy.
It may be worth the drive to avoid spending the day in line. There
was an article about it this in the past week or so (check online at
http://www.ajc.com/).
