I second daytrader's suggestion of the Daily Rotten. That is accutually what first came to mind when I read this post. Another good site by the same people is the Rotten Library (http://www.rotten.com/library/) which has tons of information on just about every pop/culture refernce fron B.C. to now. |

One way you can learn about personalities and historic connections is through obituaries, a daily source for interesting biographies. The website Blog of Death at http://www.blogofdeath.com/ is a good natural starting point, as they update content daily and have links to dozens of other similar sites. Weekly magazines cover personalities and historical perspectives well and a good family-friendly one is Parade Magazine at http://www.parade.com/. |
