This question is for Pinkfreud-ga. Do you have another E-mail address,
or is this the only way I can contact you? Anyhow, my question is
about an A & E Biography about Judy Garland. Would you give this a
"try"? I'm not even going to tell you what happened! Please see what
you can do. Thank's, Mike747

Mike,

Wow, I'm glad this worked out for you! Robert Rees, of the
'Mysterease' site, seems to have a very impressive Judy Garland
collection. I notice that he has many items related to other
celebrities, too, including Marilyn Monroe (one of my favorites).

On a different subject, I hope you've been able to find someone to
tape the Streisand "Inside the Actors Studio" program that you were
looking for. It will be aired from 11 AM till 1 PM (Eastern & Central)
on Bravo on August 22, which is a week from today.

Hello again, Mike! You can't contact me by email, but I check Google
Answers regularly, so if you mention my name, I'm sure to see that I'm
being paged.

The videotape from the A&E "Biography" segment on Judy Garland is out
of print, and I have not been able to locate a copy. If anything turns
up, I'll let you know.

I've found a "Judy Garland Database" website that you may find
interesting. Among other things, the site lists some Judy Garland
collectors:

This collector sounds as if he'd be worth contacting:

Pink! I need "clairification" on this collector's web address? I've
tried it a couple of different ways, it keeps telling me that the
sight can not be found ?
I'm sure that I am not entering it correctly. Is it
web.1conn.com/mysterease/garland.htm ? Or is it
www.1conn.com/mysterease/garland.htm ?? I'm sorry, I'm sure I'm making
it harder than it needs to be! Thanks again, Mike747

Mike,

I had no difficulty getting to the collector's site with this link:

http://web.lconn.com/mysterease/garland.htm

If, for some reason, that URL doesn't work, please try clicking here:

If you are retyping the link to the collector's site, please note that
the numeral 1 (one) is easily mistaken for a lower-case letter L. The
'lconn' portion of site's name contains the letter L, not the numeral
1.

YES!! The VCR's will be "rolling" on the 22nd! I still have not found
out why both the Judy & Bab's programs recorded with wavy tracking
lines in them ? They were the only two that have ! They do not put out
"signals" that pourposely make the program "un recordable"?? I would
not ask, except for the VH1 channels, I know, "scrambles"
theirs....Thanks again for your help!! Do you get "paid" now? Hope
so, Mike

I don't have a clue why your recorded programs would have wavy lines
in them. That's a real puzzlement. Could there be something wrong with
your VCR? I have one VCR that won't record properly in SLP mode, but
it's fine in SP. I think it's a head alignment problem, but I don't
want to spend money to find out, since fixing it would probably cost
as much as a new VCR (they are amazingly cheap these days).

Regarding payment, my portion of the fee (75%) was credited to my
account as soon as I posted an official answer. I'm delighted to have
been able to help.

Best,
Pink

Pink!! I've got to inquire about the Concord Aircraft. There was a
video on TLC (I beleive) last October called "Concord Final Flight,
Anatomy of a disaster", or something to that effect. It was about the
Concord that crashed on takeoff from Paris. Want to check into it for
me. Yes,I've called the discovery/TLC channel & it is NOT for sale!!!
Shoot me an E-mail when you can.
Mike
