Question ID: 387688
If I earn $260,000 a year, where does that put me on a ranked list of
income earners? I am interested in finding recent (2003 or 2004) data
which shows percentile figures to at least accuracy in 5%
degradations. (ie. 75-80th percentile = range of $22,000-26,000)
Accuracy to 1% would be even better. If possible, please provide a
link or description of the primary source used to find the
information.

Hello there,

I have found the percentile data for income by household from US
census 2000 data. Since such a widespread survey hasn't been done
since then, it's unlikely you will find anything as reliable for a
more recent time period.

Are you interested in this information as an answer to you query?

Thanks,

I am not interested in the census data. It's my understanding that
this should be available somewhere from the US govt as part of tax
filing data. Is there nothing more recent than 2000?
