I really appreciated that you included in your answer HOW you got
there. The only thing I could ask more is to ask about certain
individuals and their salary, but I believe that would be
confidential. Correct me if I am wrong. Is it possible to find out
what a certain person who has just been hired would be making, if I
don't know exactly what position they have? Can you track a job
posting at UCI? They created a job specifically for this person, since
he did not have the academic qualifications necessary. I would be very
interested if he were hired as an actual Professor, or an Assistant or
an Associate. Any way to find that out?

I?m not aware of any way to track a job posting, or to find out the
salary of a particular person.  I did however find a directory for the
Claire Trevor School Of The Arts, which includes the dance department.
 Perhaps he is listed there.  It does include each person?s job title
(professor, assistant professor, etc.)  Since he is new, it is
possible that he has not been listed yet.

With the additional information you provided I was able to find the
exact job posting! I went tio UCI dance and at the bottom right hand
corner there was a link to current job postings. The Dance
Videographer position was created to match the qualifications of  my
ex husband and awarded after an apparent search of over 100 people.
The only thing I don't know is what step they began him at, since it
says commensurate with experience, and his is extensive, although he
doesn't even hold a bachelor's degree. He is brilliant, and created
the whole field himself. He is used to doing things "outside the
box."After going bankrupt for non payment of income tax, being found
in contempt of court for non payment of child support and dispersal of
the family asets, he had been working illegally in the US while
waiting for his Green Card, (and,( surprise!) not paying child support
) Now, after three years, he has his Green Card and an excellent job.
I can see how much he is making, minimum, along with his wife who is
also on the faculty. Together they make over $100,000  US which is
much more in Canadian dollars, while I am a substitute teacher earning
around $18,000 a year. Far from pleading poverty,  he can now welll
afford to pay the outstanding child support in Canadian dollars. Of
course, he has commenced a legal action to prevent that eventuality.  
I needed some solid facts to support my case that he can and should
pay  the arrears of support owing to me and continue to support my
daughter who is about to start college here in Vancouver British
Columbia. You have been most helpful! Thanks again. Worth every penny!
