Hi- We have a small securities trading company, and want to know if there is a service available that will let us push regular TV channels like CNBC, Bloomberg etc. over our 1 gig LAN. We currently use regular TVs but we'd rather not snake coax everywhere as we move to a new office. I was thinking by this time, perhaps there were some vendors out there who are licensed aggregators of normal TV channels for a situation like this. |

Although I am not aware of any solutions that directly meet your needs, I am sure they do exist, and I also promise that they would be very expensive. I reccomend you get a cable signal transmitter/receiver setup. This would enable each T.V. to act as if it had it's own cable outlet attached to it. Simply put one end where you DO have a cable outlet, and put the reciever behind or close to the T.V. you DO NOT have a cable outlet at. Here are some links to the items I am referring too : http://www.smarthome.com/7654.html http://www.x10.com/products/x10_vk54a.htm http://www.provantage.com/buy-22086398-angeltrax-wireless-cable-tv-kit-catv2400-shopping.htm |

The Videolan project www.videolan.org allows you to to do this with it's software. Yould have to have a server that is connected to cable to broadcast the signals to your clients via the vlc client software. the software is free. |
