Question ID: 388209
I get the following erro when using Weatherlink 5.01 for the Mac OS;
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException

No amount of reinstalls of software or drivers seems to help. I know
that the station must be connected to the Mac to work. I have tried
three Keyspan USB to serial adapters and one unnamed one sold by
Davis.

My Powerbook is right up to date with Java 1.4.2 (Mac version 2.1.1)
and Mac OS 10.3.5. All USB drivers are the latest available.

I noticed there is a Beta version (5.02) of Weatherlink for download at:
http://www.davisnet.com/support/weather/download/MacLink_v502_BETA1_Install.sit

Have you tried that version?

There is no answer at this time.

There's a relatively new version of Java for Mac OS X out: 1.4.2
update 1. Do you have that installed?

Back in 2003, somone on Weathermatrix.com at
http://www.weathermatrix.net/bbs/vantageproboard/2003/1/messages/529.html
had a similar complaint. Interestingly, a repondent had the same Java
packages installed on both his Mac G4 and Powerbook, but only had
trouble with the program on the Powerbook. If you still have troubles,
it would be prudent to contact the Weatherlink vendor or Apple to see
if a patch is available.
