?Buck Owens real name is Alvis Edgar Owens ? that's why he wanted to
be called Buck. He wrote such hits as "Act Naturally," "I've Got a
Tiger by the Tail," and "Waiting in Your Welfare Line" ? "I got the
hunnnnnnnnngries for your love, and I?m waiting in your welfare line."
Buck had seven weeks on the top of the charts with that last one in
1966.
