I have a 2461 base station and 4 handsets.  One of the handsets failed
and I bought a replacement that will not "find the base".  After many
calls to VTech support they said I had to 'deregister" all the
handsets, but their instructions were at best marginal.  Does anyone
know how to perfor a deregistration.

I believe, based on a similar experience, that unplugging the battery
in the handset for two minutes is required.
