What is Apple's recent (2003 or 2004) marketshare (%) in the PC hardware business, among all operating systems, and how does it compare to other hardware manufacturers, such as IBM, Dell, HP and Sony? (I do not want to know what % of the OS business they have). It seems to me that most statistics refer to Apple's marketshare in terms of operating systems, but Apple is a hardware company first, and it would be interesting to compare the 2%-3% operating system marketshare to the percentage of the hardware market. |

As far as I'm aware, Apple's hardware (eg. hard disk) is made by IBM. |

Perhaps, but I don't think there is a single hardware co. that actually makes ALL of its components. |
