Hello tot_71~ Cinema is called the "seventh art" because it combines or synthesizes the first six arts (architecture, music, painting, sculpture, poetry, and dance) together. This label was used by French film critics by 1907. Regards, Kriswrite KEYWORDS USED: cinema is called the seventh art See specifically, School of Modern Languages http://www.ex.ac.uk/schools/sml/modules/moddetails.php?mid=MLF1108 and Kobe Design University http://www.kobe-du.ac.jp/english/department/visual/main.html |
