Hello -

I have discovered a research report by an analyst firm that details
the market size, market share, and demand for heavy construction
equipment worldwide. Written at the end of 2001, it forecasts out to
2005 and 2010 by product and industry. You can purchase sections of
this document for $30 each. Would you like me to supply you a link to
this study as an answer to your question, perhaps if you want to lower
your question price to $50?

We have received one report from IBISWorld that gives a lot of info,
but it is primarily in dollars, nnot units. Our primary need is for
unit information. If you believe this report will provide that, then
yes, please send me the link...

Unfortunately, it's dollars only. I may be able to get you the
population of various types of equipment for North America only (with
no further breakdown). If this is of interest at a lower price,
please let me know.

Actually, I hate to revise this again, but the data are regarding
"shipments" over past years. It's not an existing "population"
figure. It may be possible to take the shipment data over the past
10+ years to come up with a population figure over that time. From
what I can tell, however, a raw "population" figure is extremely hard
to come by and is not readily available.
