I am looking to hire, for 1 day a disused UK airfield. There will be a
party of us testing our cars to the limit - i.e. similar to what they
do on Top Gear and other driving TV shows.

There are plenty of organisers for this type of event and they are
called "track days" however - I want the airfield all day for my
parties exclusive use.

I'm looking for airfield locations that would be willing to do this and also a cost.

There's a disused airfield at Ford, near the Prison.

That's near Arundel.

Whereabouts in the UK are you thinking?

We are in Lancashire, however travelling is not a problem as we would
stay in hotels nearby.

I think I know the one at Arundel, is it near Worthing? I think i've
been to a big car boot sale there years ago.

Yes, fairly close to Worthing.

They certainly do hold big car boots there.

There is a good disused airfield at Ashaig on the Isle of Skye,
sometimes used for bikers for rallies
