It seems that this position has recently been divided in two.

Initially, Patrick R. ("Pat") Schambach was Associate Under Secretary,
Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer, of the
Transportation Security Administration.

However, a new organizational chart shows that Mr. Schambach is now
the Associate Under Secretary and Chief Information Officer -- and not
the Chief Technology Officer.

The new Associate Under Secretary and Chief Technology Officer is
Randal ("Randy") Null, previously an Intel executive who was part of
the TSA's Senior Advisor Program.

Search strategy:

On Google: Searched for "transportation security agency”

On TSA web site: Clicked "About TSA", then " TSA Leadership", and
finally " TSA Organizational Chart"

On DOT web site: Searched for "schambach"

On Google (again): Search for "null transportation security agency"

Thanks! I conducted almost the exact search about two weeks ago. The
org chart was arranged differently, and it didn't have names on it. I
should have realized the agency is in the process of defining itself.
Thanks again for a thorough answer.
