I have had this question well answered from USA and UK persepctives, I am now looking for International and other country perspectives please... On Dollars we have "In God We Trust" and on insurance contracts we have "Acts of God" - are there any other examples of God's name being used in an official capacity, where there is a presumption by authorities that God is not only all powerful, but that He/She actually exists? |

From the early 19th century to 1945, all Prussian (and later all German) army belt buckles bore the inscription "Gott mit uns" - "God is with us". This, however, is not the case anymore now. Scriptor |

Hello,dtnl42, I'm from Brazil and our currency is the Real (plural=Reais). In the bills it is written: DEUS SEJA LOUVADO that means: GOD BE PRAISED Go to the link below and click on the image of the 20 reais bill to increase its size and you will see the phrase DEUS SEJA LOUVADO below the big number 20: http://www.mercadolivre.com.br/jm/item?site=MLB&id=17172577 Luntes |

Hi I m from India. There is no reference to God on currency notes of our country. I guess notes should be more like a contract/bond than anything else. One may or may not be a believer to use the money. |
