Hello, I am looking for a rebuilt manual transmission for a 91 Nissan
300zx non-turbo. I have found one for:
"$1000 w/ $400 core charge + shipping for a completely rebuilt tranny,
6 month unlimited mileage warranty and $750 for a good used one."

But I live in San Diego and that one is in Georgia...

So I am looking for one closer (and/or cheaper) to San Diego.

A five-star answer would tell me where I can find one for the same (or
close) price located anywhere south of San Francisco, CA.

A $5.00 tip for a place located anywhere south of Valencia, CA.

Another $5.00 tip for finding one cheaper than $1000 (plus $400 core
charge) located anywhere south of San Francisco, CA.

So $20 total if you can find a cheaper one south of Valencia, CA,

Thanks so much!

Kragen's website doesn't show they carry Z tranny's, but I'll call em
when I get back from Japan and see. As for junkyards, I want a
rebuilt one, not one that may or may not be in worse condition than my
current one. BTW, since the questions hadn't been locked, I upped the
answer to $15, so total avail. now is $25.

Start calling local junkyards.
