I am looking for a site or sites which give online information
(without subscription charges, if possible)on shipping lines or
companies which serve two different ports, and also give transit time
between two ports, alongwith frequency of the service.

For instance, shipping companies (container services) serving ports in
Angola, Ghana from Mediterranian countries like Turkey. Or from Egypt,
Algeria to Angola, Ghana. Or from Italian ports, and Chinese ports to
the desitnations mentioned before.

I have already tried sites like shippingdigest.com, fairplay.co.uk

Hello Roger,

The Journal of Commerce "PointSearch" tool that is mentioned in the comments below:

http://www.joc.com/gta/pointsearch.shtml

Would seem to be exactly what you need. I was able to quickly
determine all transports leaving from Cape Town, South Africa, and
making port in New York City. The database shows the departure and
arrival dates, intermediate and subsequent stops, ship and shipping
company, and a host of other information.

Could you let us know if this meets your needs. If not, what
additional sorts of o-cost/low-cost information are you after?

Thanks.

One of the best free tool for this is located at
http://www.joc.com/gta/pointsearch.shtml

Should you need more details, your best guess is probably to go to
each line's web site.

Here are some of the main services for Africa Coast :

http://www.delmas.com/UK/html/accueil/cadre.htm gives complete
schedule between two ports on different routes for Delmas, a french
line.

http://www.service.grimaldi.napoli.it/itin/ will give you Grimaldi
Lines' services for any chosen port.

http://www.maersksealand.com/ The word leader's website has a
"schedule" link : you can input the cities and dates, you'll get a
complete listing of calls, voyages and vessels. They also include
Safmarine ships.

On http://www.ponl.com/ under the tab "E-commerce" you will be able
to find routes and schedules

On http://www.mscgva.ch/schedule.html you will be able to download
(pdf or .doc) a complete schedule

Another french company, http://www.cma-cgm.com/ also has a schedule tool

Also go to http://www.zim.co.il/schedule_ptp.htm

Should you need a "time lapse calculator", go to
http://www.export911.com/convert/lapTlME.htm

Hope this helps.
