And this is all, actually.

I could not find a listing for this company in the yellow pages or a
listing for the name of your contact in the white pages.
Please note that the phone number 0056-9-8491746 that you provided is
for a cell phone.
56 is the country code for Chile and 9 is the area code used for cell phones.
The area code for Antofagasta is 55.
I tried to locate the address at http://planos.cl/ as well.
The street Eduardo Orchard does exist but there were no results for 498.
A regular phone number would be helpful in order to verify the
veracity of this company.
Thanks,
Bobbie7

Hello Bobbie
Thank you very much for all you are doing.
I sent a "diplomatic" e-mail asking further details about the company
and for a Fax or land-line number.
I will pass every information on to you as soon as he answers me.
Could I ask to clarify a point to me?
You said that the area code for antofagasta is 55. Does it mean that
the mobile number does not come from Antofagasta?
Thank You
Gaia

Hello Gaia,
"You said that the area code for antofagasta is 55. Does it mean that
the mobile number does not come from Antofagasta?"
The mobile phone can come from Antofagasta or from any other location in Chile.
All mobile phones start with 9 or 8. There is no way to tell to what
city you're calling to.

Hello bobbie7,
I'm sorry, it took so long to answer to your previous message!
(I've experienced some problems with the internet connection.)
Anyway, I asked this man for more details about his company and for a
land-line telephone number so that I could contact him personally or
by fax.
All he did was to confirm the mobile as a fax number and gave no more information.
I was suspicious with this man from the beginning, but you can never
know who you are dealing with, especially when your only mean of
communication is electronic mail.
I am starting to believe that my suspects had solid basis.
Hopefully I am wrong..
But may I ask you what you think?
cheers
Gaia

Dear Gaia,
I would be extremely cautious in doing business with this company. A
legitimate company should always provide you with full contact
information, which includes land-line phone and fax number.
I could not find a listing for this company in the yellow pages or a
listing for the name of your contact in the white pages.
I tried to locate the address at http://planos.cl/ as well.
The street Eduardo Orchard does exist but there were no results for 498.
I would not do business with a company that only provides a cell phone number.
Sincerely,
Bobbie7
