Bondo --
The minute I saw this question, I thought of the online database of
cartoons from The New Yorker Magazine:
Cartoon Bank
http://www.cartoonbank.com
There's a search facility on each page. When search results come up,
be sure to click on "See all results in Cartoon" or "See all results
in Covers."
Here's the summary of results:
Bonds: 10 cartoons and 1 cover. The 1942 cover is adorned with war
bonds for the 4th of July issue.
Money: 1300 cartoons and 5 covers.
Market: 288 cartoons and 46 covers. Avoid the plural "markets," as it
brings up pictures of stores.
Options: 12 cartoons.
Interest rates: 10 cartoons.
Taxes: 133 cartoons.
Investments: 85 cartoons.
Thinking broadly for search terms helps: Greenspan gives 12 cartoons
(but none for Volcker).
So the next question is: what other options exist on the Internet?
Using Google, you can enter "Cartoon Bank" and then click the link
that says "Similar Pages." I've listed these by their accessibility
(the lowest ones require subscriptions):
Cagle's cartoon page on MSN is excellent, tracking the daily editorial
cartoons in U.S. newspapers. It requires registration but viewing the
cartoons is free. The search feature doesn't stand out here, being
drawn by a cartoonist, but it's in the left-hand column:

This is a marginal fit, with illustrations in advertising, but this
Duke University collection of 7,000 ads has more than 500 with the
term "bonds" -- many of them World War II war bond ads. The images
are superb:

Cartoon Stock is a U.K. website and it has 42 results for bonds and is free:
