I want to learn how to legally download music.  I'm looking for a site
that will let me download high quality versions of the songs I want. 
I want to be able to burn the songs to a CD that will play on my CD
player.  I don't want to have to buy an MP3 player.  I'm willing to
pay around a dollar a song, but I want to own my copy of the song.  I
don't want any time limits on how long I can listen to it once I store
it on my computer.  What site is best, most user friendly, affordable,
etc?

I have used Limewire for a few years now. A one time fee of $ 10.00 US
and thats it. No spam, easy downloads and thousands of tunes to
download. Its still perfectly legal too :)

Limewire is a p2p file-sharing app that uses the gnutella network. Its
existence may be perfectly legal but much of its content is not. It's
also available free.

Unless your system does not meet minimum system requirements, I highly
recommend iTunes for Windows. It meets all the requirements you
posted. All of them.

Just go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/  They explain it better than I
have time to.
