There are several authored articles by the former president and an
interview with former Pres. Carter on the Internet.  In them he does
not use the word "charming" but rather another term.

However, you should understand that one of the hardest things for a
researcher to prove is that something DIDN'T happen.  If posting
several of the most-relevant web links to Pres. Carter in his own
words is adequate, I'm sure that a researcher can help you.
