I need to locate the clients of a public company named OCWEN (OCN).

Ocwen is a fairly large bank and financial services company. They
issue, for example, credit cards to (probably) tens of thousands of
customers.

Are you seriously expecting a list of all their card-holders? If not,
please let us know in more detail what you're after here.

Thanks.

Sorry..let me clarify. OCWEN as a part of their business services
loans for lending institutions.
http://www.ocwen.com/residential/loanservicing.cfm

The number of clients should not exceed 100 I would guess and probably
less. Large tip for the list.

OCWEN services loans for Banks and other financial services companies.
I am seeking the names of the residential lenders OCWEN services loans
for..not individuals who have the loans.

Maluca-ga,

Hello,

I've been looking into this question in some detail, and I've located
a significant amount of information. From what I've gathered thus
far, Ocwen appears to have about 20+ major clients for whom they
service residental loans.

While there isn't (to the best of my knowledge) a consolidated list of
these clients, it's possible to find a lot of internet material that
links Ocwen to other companies.

For instance, here's one example:

http://www.deltafunding.com/pdf/DFC%20HELT%202002_2%20197,000,000.pdf

which links Ocwen to a number of other companies via a legal Trust arrangement:

Renaissance Mortgage Acceptance Corp, Depositor
Ocwen FSB, Servicer
Delta Funding Corp., Seller
Wells Fargo Bank, Minnesota, Trustee and Custodian
Financial Security Assurance, Insurer
Wachovia FSB, Cap Provider

Is this the type of information you need?

If so, I can steer you to about a dozen similar sources of
information. linking Ocwen as a service provider (or similar
arrangement) to other companies. HOWEVER, I can offer no assurance
that the documents (some of which are several years old) represent
Ocwen's current arrangements.

Would this information be of interest to you as an answer to your
question? (You should be aware that I have no special knowledge of the
secondary mortgage industry, and much of the legal/financial language
being used is unfamiliar to me).

Let me know.

I stand corrected!

There does, in fact, appear to be a consolidated list of the loan
agreements serviced by Ocwen. The list was prepared by Moody's in
2002:

www.ocwen.com/prs/old_press/09-13-2002%20Moody'
s%20Structured%20Finance%20Servicer%20Report%20for%20O
List of Securitized Transactions Serviced by Ocwen

As far as I can tell, this list pretty much appears to answer your
question, except for an agreements entered into by Ocwen after 2002.
If this is the information you were looking for, let me know, and I
will post some additional information regarding more recent
arrangements as an answer to your question.

Thanks.

The link above got truncated. Try this one:

or else just search on Google for (quotes included): "List of
Securitized Transactions Serviced by Ocwen"

Clarification of Question by maluca-ga on 22 Aug 2004 17:21 PDT
pafalafa: I am looking for a list of the residential lenders they
service for. The list I found that you had provided had the names of
the loans after they were sold in a securitized pool and the names
were of the individual pools. Two different things. In one case the
lenders name was used as part of the pool name. This would be usable
as it reveals the name of the lender they do/did business with. The
Delta link was a keeper as well. Both are lenders or sellers of the
loans.

The list beginning with "Renaissance Mortgage Acceptance Corp,
Depositor" is a list of parties to a transaction and their respective
roles as designated by the title given re: trustee, insurer etc..
These are not useable.

Is there any way I can get you a list of potentials without posting it here?

Thanks for the feedback.

I used to do environmental policy work for Congress, and I had to
pinch-hit for an ill staff member on subprime loan policies for about
a week. I didn't understand it then, and I don't quite get it now.
But it certainly does inflame a lot of passion. But enough
reminiscing....To Business!

You asked about sending me an eyes-only list, but I'm afraid that
would be a violation of Google Answers policy. All communications are
public, and are made by posting information right here.

I am posting below much of the information I have thus far. I believe
a number of these probably are just the type of relations you're
looking for. A few are probably not...more along the lines of
acquisitions or joint ventures, but I thought it best to err on the
side of over-inclusion.

Let me know if these types of listings are useful. If so, I also need
to know if you would accept some additional information along the same
lines as an answer to your question. Understand, though, that in all
likelyhood it would not represent a complete listing of Ocwen's
clients.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

pafalafa: There was nothing in the second batch. I feel a public
company in the bank financial sector must have to post a document(s)
with some sort of regulatory agency regarding their actions. These
people have been to the courts enough as well. FOI Act?

Request for Question Clarification by pafalafa-ga on 23 Aug 2004 08:04 PDT
OK. I have to confess to just "not getting it" in terms of which
sorts of Ocwen arrangements meet your needs, and which don't.

I'll continue looking into this, as sometimes the light bulb suddenly
goes off, and I figure out what a client needs. But if other
researchers have anything to contribute on this one, they should feel
free to dive in.

pafalafa: A borrower approaches a lender for a loan, say ABC Bank.
ABC Bank now sells the servicing rights to a company such as OCWEN.
They now are in a agreement with OCWEN. They have not sold them the
loan but hired them to service it..collect payments etc.. Who are the
Banks, lenders etc. who are doing this with OCWEN. What I am getting
here mostly are the results of who OCWEN is SELLING the loan to which
is not what I am needing. Two very different things. Ocwen may very
well continue to service the loan following its sale.

Clarification of Question by maluca-ga on 23 Aug 2004 14:18 PDT
In my last clarification I wrote OCWEN where it should have said
"lender". The uncorrected sentence is

"What I am getting here mostly are the results of who OCWEN is SELLING
the loan to..."

maluca-ga,

I get the gist of what you're looking for. The problem is, it's not
often clear (to me) when a loan has been sold, or is merely being
"serviced".

For instance, I found the following:

"On November 22, 1996, Ezekoye executed with Long Beach Mortgage Company of
California a mortgage securing a note in the amount of $131,250.00
which was assigned to Ocwen on November 27, 1996..."

Is this "assignment" a sale or a servicing agreement...?

Clarification of Question by maluca-ga on 23 Aug 2004 20:45 PDT
it was assigned to OCWEN for servicing.

Go to the document you pulled that verbage from and looking at page 8
in PDF format go to item #5. Theres a bit of how it would sound.

Clarification of Question by maluca-ga on 24 Aug 2004 21:53 PDT
pafalafa: I stand corrected. I inquired from someone who knew better
and they say a assignment can be a sale. Please let me know your
status on this when possible.

This could be the company:
http://www.ocwen.com/

But I strongly doubt that they have made a nice, handy list of all
their customers...
