Estimates of money wagered on gambling related activities in the U.S.
on sporting related events, both through legal gaming jurisdictions,
i.e., Las Vegas, Atlantic city, and otherwise.  Would like current
estimates as well as 5-10 year, year-to-year market growth related
data if possible.

Superbowl.
According to Christiansen Capital Advisors, between $375 and $400
million will be bet on the Super Bowl through online sports books in
2003 up by $50 to $75 million from 2002. Land -based sports books in
Las Vegas took $71.6 million in bets on the Super Bowl in 2003.

According to BetonSports.com, the average Super Bowl bet per client is
$111. The average bet during playoff games is $55.

College sports.
A 90?s study found that 25.5% of college athletes had gambled money on
college sporting events other than one they played in. 3.7% had
gambled on a game in which they played.
In 2002 Nevada sports books won £110 million. Football revenue was $50
million, basketball $37 million. College sports accounts for about
45%, therefore revenue from college sports was $40 million.
