Hello, Believe it or not, there is a box score from that game available on the Internet. It is at (http://espn.go.com/classic/s/quiz/5/21.html). Chapman was replaced by Harry Lunte, who then played at shortsop in Chapman's place. For readers wondering why that game was so significant, Chapman was killed when he was hit on the head by the pitch from Carl Mays. Search strategy: Aug. 16, 1920 Chapman <://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=Aug%2E+16%2C+1920+Chapman> Lunte 1920 Indians <://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=Lunte+1920+Indians> |
