I am also interested in this; I am new here, but hope if an answer
shows up, I can share in it; I will share any info I find, also. Why
try to convert this monitor? Trade it for a standard monitor. This
is such a proprietary monitor; I would trade a "standard" 15" monitor
for one of these, which would solve the problem, sort of. I need this
exact monitor with the proprietary connector (or a way to add, say, a
1280 X 1024 in the manner specified here), etc, while the owner of one
of these may wish to have a "standard" monitor. So if I obtain and
trade a standard monitor for one of these (pcva 15qa1), both of us
would be happy! On another note, this monitor would require the
additon of an internal video control board to be used as a standard
xvga monitorthere is nothing in them but the lcd panel, the audio amps
for the speakers, and the inverter etc. , and, since it is 1280 X 960
, it may not yield satisfactory results if adapted to a standard video
connector anyway. Best bet is to trade it for a standard monitor
because the lcd inside is, in essence, an "oddball" which would
require a custom designed video controller to modify it to a more
standard xvga monitor. |
