I am in charge of making sure my company's cellphones (250 phones) are
all on the right rate plans each month. I was wondering if there is a
software program that I could use to help in this analysis. I'd like
to be able to input the different rate plan details and each cell
phone's usage and find the best match. I'd also like to be able to do
this on a monthly basis as new promotional plans become available.
Thanks for your help with this.

Hi, Dad. I doubt that any software specific to your need already
exists in the open market, tho. Seems to me that you probably have
Microsoft Excel and that you could set up a simple file in there. If
it seems like a lot of columns into which to enter data, you can use
the forms feature: Data-Form.

If you think you'd want something a little snazzier, I'd say I could
set that up for you, but I really need to know what data you want to
track, and how you want to track it. For instance, by employee number?
by department?

I'm not a researcher, but a VBA geek. :)

Two comments,
1) If this software application doesn't already exist, is it possible
to have someone create it and if so who does stuff like that and what
would it cost?
2) If some algorithms in Excel would do the trick how do I find those
calculations and specific set up?

Simply put I want to be able to input the details for 10 different
rate plans ie 500 peak minutes, unlimited off peak minutes and free
long distance for $44.99/mo(not a real plan) and then input the usage
for each phone number ie 347 min peak and 112 off peak and no long
distance. Once the data is entered I push a button and bingo I have a
match between the actual usage and the best plan for that phone. I
hope I've explained what I'm wanting to do okay. Any and all
suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the link Dreamboat. It looks like that might work. What
would a job like this cost? (In approximate $s)
