Hi Google!
I'm an industry professional working in scandinavia, with 16 years of
experience in developing, directing and producing gameshows such as
Wheel of Fortune, Changing Rooms and other original gameshow and
reality concepts.
I'm seriously preparing to move to Los Angeles and hopefully break
through with my portfolio of original gameshow ideas, developed over
the years.
How do I go about this in a correct and professional manner?
How will I find the correct type of television agent for this?
How do I make initial contact with agents? Where to find certified listings?
Is it possible/reasonable to use a UK based agent representing me in the US?
How about various legal advise? Protecting my intellectual copyrights?
I'm still asking despite having researched many pieces of good advise,
due to the fact that most of this advise deals with Television as an
entity that demands scripts and treatments, as in pitching sit-coms
and drama series.
However, I suspect that it is not exactly the same, when it comes
to pitching late night entertainment, talk shows or game show ideas.
FYI, I have a few high-level, friendly contacts from my previous work
on licensed formats, that I plan to make use of.
Best Regards
