Question ID: 392087
I'll be attending a "creative formal" party in early October and am
looking for suggestions for general dress design or accessories that
would reference a female comic book superhero or character. Since I'm
not super familiar with the comic book world...

I'd love one to five suggestions of specific "characters" and
references to pictures would be great. I guess characters whose
costumes might already look a little bit like formalwear would be
pretty good or maybe ones who've appeared in comics attending a formal
event. I'm not sure. Good or evil or "non-aligned?" is just fine.

In case it helps, I'm an in-shape but curvy female with long
brown/blonde hair. Racy or shocking costume/character ideas are just
fine and might be preferred.

Thanks for any help you can give!

I have included thirteen characters for you to consider in your search
for "superheroes" or even "supervillians" (and there are other good
ideas provided by reasearchers in the comments below). I have put
them in order of preference, so that you can simply review the first
five, if that is all you want to look at.

For each character, I have have done a Google Image search, and linked
to some of the better examples. I also include the link to the search
terms for each character, in case you want to find additional images.

At the bottom, I have included a list of the Top 20 Comic Book Movies
ranked by box office revenues, to give you a hint as to whether a
particular character will be easily recognizable by others at your
event.

Some of these characters may not be what you are looking for, though I
tried to include a variety to give you different ideas. Some are from
comics and cartoons, but are not heroes. Some are heroes, but, from a
video game instead of comic book.

Finally, since Dick Tracy and The Mask are listed as Comic Book
movies, I will point out that Madonna and Cameron Diaz both wore
dresses in their movies... though, my guess was that these are not the
type of comic book characters you were looking for.
