Question ID: 392272
I am looking for information on the future expected, global market
value for data storage technologies - particularly for 2008 onwards.

The answer can be based upon data storage market values for particular
devices, such as mobile phones, or a general market value for a
certain type of storage technology, which in our case happens to be
atom level storage.

I define market value as the aggregate 'worth' of the market as measured by sales.

The answer should be sourced to a legitimate authority on the issue.

Many thanks, Magnus

Should the researcher assume you want to exclude low tech data storage
such as books, file cabinets, diaries, audio and vidio tapes, CDs and
DVDs?

Yes - all low tech devices should be excluded. I'm looking for
information on computer disk storage primarily.
