I am looking for information on the future expected, global market value for data storage technologies - particularly for 2008 onwards. The answer can be based upon data storage market values for particular devices, such as mobile phones, or a general market value for a certain type of storage technology, which in our case happens to be atom level storage. I define market value as the aggregate 'worth' of the market as measured by sales. The answer should be sourced to a legitimate authority on the issue. Many thanks, Magnus |

Should the researcher assume you want to exclude low tech data storage such as books, file cabinets, diaries, audio and vidio tapes, CDs and DVDs? |

Yes - all low tech devices should be excluded. I'm looking for information on computer disk storage primarily. |
