Please, can anyone help me in the configuration of skype software
found at www.skype.com I am using a "headset with built in microphone"
I have loaded my account. But the problem is that I call my friends,
it rings, they pick the phone, they talk, I hear them but they do't
hear me. I tried the same headset using net2phone and it worked. I
feel that its a problem somewhere. I am using skype version 1.0.
Please can anyone help me?

Hello Jossychina

I think this is one of those problems that is very easy to work out if
you are at your PC but slightly more difficult to diagnose from afar
but I will give it a shot.

From your system information I think it indicates you have 666MHz CPU
with 128Mb or memory. The recommended limits for Skype are 1GHz and
256Mb (but the minimum requirements are within your PC specification).
One possible solution to your problem may be that you are running low
on resources (especially memory) when running Skype, although the fact
you can hear your friends is encouraging that it is probably not this.

From what you have indicated it appears that Skype is connecting the
call correctly as you can hear your friends but they cannot hear you.
This to me would suggest that there is a problem with your microphone
or most probably the way it is set up to use Skype.

There is a detailed sound configuration page at the Skype site here:
http://www.skype.com/help_sound.html
http://www.skype.com/help_sound_xp.html

If you work your way through this page it should at least ensure that
your microphone is correctly set up.

Another possible problem is the type of headset you are using:

"What kind of headset should I use?
You need a computer headset, not a telephone headset. A computer
headset has two separate connectors ? one for the microphone, and one
for the speaker (some newer headsets connect via USB, these are
typically a bit more expensive but in general quite good). Also make
sure that the headset has a microphone. You can also buy a handset,
just as long as it has two connectors so that it can be plugged into
your computer."

If this information is sufficient for an answer or you are still
having problems please ask for more help and I will do my best to
further help you out.
